Journey

A global pioneer, Late Steve Jobs had once said – Packaging can be theatre, it can create a story. In the early years of this decade, we could see the applications of his vision and understanding all around us. Many international corporations were investing more and more on the packaging so as to lure the consumers into buying their products amidst increasing competition. The advertising industry too was giving further impetus to this aspect given the new prospects that had opened up because of the digital revolution around us. Moreover, this shift was not only witnessed amongst international brands and multinational corporations, but also amongst local manufacturers of various products as well.

Amidst this scenario there was immense scope for provision of raw material that is used for packaging, and very few industries in western India were fulfilling this need. Our founder Mr Anil Somani felt that this was the right time to benefit from this scope and launched Shubham Polyspin in the year 2012. Since then, Shubham is blessed to experience an accelerated growth and advancements over the years. Initially, the annual output of the factory was merely 600MT per annum. However, with the persistent distribution of unmatched quality products and services, the numbers have proliferated, and currently, the company is producing 3000 MT of Polypropylene Multifilament Yarn per annum. Shubham manufacturing unit being stationed in one of the thriving industrial centres of India -Ahmedabad, Gujarat, it enables the company to get access to human resource, raw material, transport and machinery swiftly and surely, which admittedly enhances the production and supplying efficiency of the enterprise. Our persistent efforts in putting quality at the forefront and zero-tolerance to defect policy empower us to spread our footprints across the globe. Anil Somani

Anil Somani is the pioneer that envisioned the establishment of Shubham Polyspin, brought this vision into reality, and has guided it through its growth journey. With an industry experience that spans about three and a half decades, he adds value to every facet of the organisation. Currently, as the patriarch of Shubham Polyspin, Anil handles responsibilities that relate to the secretarial and legal aspects, as well as the ones that relate to the human resource department.

Ankit Somani

The Managing Director of Shubham Polyspin, Ankit Anil Somani, is an MBA in Finance and Investment Management from Prifysgol Cymbro University of Wales. Prior to being appointed as the MD in 2018, he held the position of the Promoter/Director of the company since its inception. With an industry experience of over 8 years, and an acute business acumen, Ankit designs sound strategies for the production as well as the sales and the marketing of Shubham Polyspin. As the company MD, he oversees the Business Operations of the company and has significantly contributed not only to its expansion, but also the establishment of Shubham Polyspin’s sister concerns.

Akshay Somani

Akshay Anil Somani is the Director and CFO of Shubham Polyspin. With an MBA in Family Business Management from Nirma University and a sizeable industry experience, Akshay is the driving force behind the company, who, with his dynamic approach and problem-solving attitude, has steered the company ship towards one milestone after other. The secret behind his success is his hands-on involvement with every aspect of the business which allows him to have both, a holistic view of the company as a whole, and an in-depth understanding of every department. Before being appointed as the Director of the company, he was entrusted with the responsibility of the company’s exports. During his stint as the Export Manager, he proved his mettle by being instrumental in the company’s widespread reach and for creating a niche for the brand on a global level.

Akshay also holds the position of the Company Director with Shubham Polyspin’s sister concerns, Shubham Texplast Private Limited and Sparebiz Enterprises Private Limited.

Infrastructure

Longevity comes from reinvention. With this belief, we, at Shubham Polyspin, have always been conducive to continual evolution and introduction of breakthrough technologies in our process for better products and easier/quicker manufacturing. In the years that we have been in the industry, we have quickly adapted ourselves to newer disruptive technologies, at times by experimenting with these, and at times by learning from other entities’ work. Currently, we house manufacturing units that are completely automated. Our approach has gone a long way in helping us strengthen our people-process-technology framework.

  • Our FDY plants manufacture the best quality Polypropylene Multifilament Yarn and has the annual production capacity of 4000 MT
  • Our state-of-the-art machinery converts FDY Yarn into Narrow Woven Fabric or Webbing, that comes in several colours, thicknesses and widths.
  • Our webbing is produced with 100 needle looms by Mueller & KY. Furthermore, the stretching and finishing machines enable us to produce 600MT of premium webbing in a year.
  • Italian and heavy-duty twisters and their Indian copies are processed at Shubham Polyspin with an annual capacity of 3000 MT converting it from 50 TPM to 250 TPM. The same is also done for 2 ply and 3 ply yarns.
